GDPR & CCPA Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 01, 2026
Dish Lively respects your privacy. This page supplements our main Privacy Policy and explains the privacy rights that may apply under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the UK GDPR, and the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA).
These laws apply according to their respective legal requirements. This notice does not imply that every provision applies to every visitor or to every activity on our website.
Information We Process
Depending on how you interact with Dish Lively, we may process:
- Contact information: Your name and email address when you contact us.
- Messages and submissions: Information you provide through contact forms, comments, or recipe reviews where available.
- Online identifiers: IP addresses, cookie identifiers, and similar technical information.
- Website activity: Pages visited, referral sources, and interactions with our content.
- Device information: Browser type, operating system, and device characteristics.
- Approximate location: General location derived from technical information.
We receive information directly from you, automatically through your use of our website, and through tools used to operate, measure, and protect the website.
Why We Process Information
We use information to operate Dish Lively, respond to inquiries, manage submissions, understand website activity, improve content, prevent spam and security threats, and meet applicable legal obligations.
Our service providers may process information to support hosting, communication, analytics, and website security.
GDPR and UK GDPR Rights
Where the GDPR or UK GDPR applies to our processing, you may have the following rights, subject to the conditions and exceptions provided by law:
- Access: Request confirmation of whether we process your personal information and obtain a copy.
- Correction: Ask us to correct inaccurate or incomplete information.
- Deletion: Request that we erase information in qualifying circumstances.
- Restriction: Ask us to limit certain processing.
- Portability: Receive qualifying information in a structured, commonly used, machine-readable format.
- Withdrawal of consent: Withdraw consent where processing relies on it.
- Complaint: Lodge a complaint with your relevant data protection authority.
Withdrawing consent does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out before withdrawal.
Your Right to Object
Where processing relies on legitimate interests, you may object on grounds relating to your particular situation. We must stop that processing unless applicable law permits us to continue.
You may object to the use of your personal information for direct marketing at any time.
Legal Bases for Processing
Where a legal basis is required, it depends on the activity involved:
- Legitimate interests: Responding to inquiries, maintaining website functionality, and protecting the website, subject to your rights and interests.
- Consent: Activities requiring your permission, including optional analytics technologies where applicable.
- Legal obligations: Processing needed to comply with applicable law.
This notice does not itself obtain consent. Consent must be collected separately where required.
California Privacy Rights
If you are a California resident and our processing is subject to the CCPA, you may have the right to:
- Know the categories and specific pieces of personal information collected about you.
- Know the sources, purposes, and categories of recipients of that information.
- Request deletion, subject to legal exceptions.
- Request correction of inaccurate personal information.
- Opt out of the sale of personal information or sharing for cross-context behavioral advertising, where applicable.
- Limit certain uses and disclosures of sensitive personal information, where applicable.
- Exercise your rights without unlawful discrimination.
An authorized agent may submit a request on your behalf. Where permitted, we may require proof of authorization and verification of your identity.
Google Analytics, Cookies, and Privacy Choices
Dish Lively uses Google Analytics to understand website traffic and interactions. Google Analytics uses cookies and similar technologies to measure website activity.
Learn more about how Google uses information from websites that use its services.
You can manage cookies through your browser settings. You can also install the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on on supported browsers.
Dish Lively does not currently use Google AdSense. Whether a data disclosure qualifies as a “sale” or “sharing” under California law depends on the actual processing and service configuration, rather than whether money changes hands.
You can contact us about your information or available privacy choices using the details below.
Submitting a Privacy Request
Email contact@dishlively.com or use our Contact page.
Please explain the right you wish to exercise and provide enough information for us to identify the relevant records. Do not send passwords or unnecessary sensitive documents.
For requests requiring identity verification, we may ask for information reasonably necessary to confirm that the records belong to you. Verification requirements depend on the request and applicable law.
Response Times
For requests governed by the GDPR or UK GDPR, we generally respond within one month. Where legally permitted, this period may be extended by two additional months because of complexity or the number of requests. We will explain any extension within the initial month.
For CCPA requests to know, delete, or correct, where applicable, we generally respond within 45 calendar days. A further 45-day extension may be available where permitted, with notice explaining the extension.
Different deadlines may apply to other requests, including opt-out requests. We follow the deadline applicable to the request.
Retention and International Processing
We retain information according to the purpose of collection, operational needs, relevant service settings, and applicable legal obligations. Further details appear in our main Privacy Policy.
Our service providers may process information outside your country. Where GDPR transfer restrictions apply, an appropriate transfer mechanism is required, such as an adequacy decision or approved contractual safeguards. Contact us for information about the arrangements relevant to your data.
Updates to This Notice
We may update this notice to reflect changes in our practices or applicable requirements. Updates will appear on this page with a revised date. Additional notice will be provided where required by law.
